Epoxy Adhesive- Two Component A+B

MEGATITE C is a two-component, fully transparent epoxy adhesive engineered for precision installation of backlit marble. It delivers an invisible joint with uniform light transmission, preserving the visual continuity of illuminated stone surfaces. Its advanced formulation offers exceptional mechanical strength, chemical resistance, and long-term stability under indoor and outdoor conditions.

Technical Specifications

• • Components: Part A (epoxy resin) + Part B (polyamine hardener)

  • Mixing Ratio: 2:1 by weight (A:B)

  • Viscosity (Mixed): 2,500–3,500 mPa·s

  • Pot Life: 30–45 minutes at 25 °C

  • Shore D Hardness: ≥ 75 after full cure

  • Tensile Shear Strength: ≥ 20 MPa on polished marble

  • Thermal Resistance: –40 °C to +90 °C continuous

  • UV Stability: No yellowing for over 5,000 hours of exposure    

     Application Guidelines

1. 1. Surface Preparation

   2. Ensure marble faces are clean, dry, and free of dust, oil, or contaminants.

   3. Lightly abrade mating surfaces for improved adhesion.

   4. Mixing and Potting

   5. Weigh and mix components thoroughly until a uniform translucent appearance is achieved.

   6. Pour or inject adhesive into joint; avoid air entrapment.     

      • Curing

        • Allow 24 hours at 25 °C for handling strength; full mechanical properties develop in 7 days.

        • Higher temperatures accelerate cure; lower temperatures extend pot life.

      • Finishing

        • Remove excess adhesive before it skins over.

        • Use a razor blade or polishing pad for a seamless, flush finish.

Packaging and Storage

• • Available Kits: 5 kg (3.33 kg A + 1.67 kg B) and 10 kg (6.67 kg A + 3.33 kg B)

  • Shelf Life: 12 months when stored in unopened containers at 5–30 °C

  • Storage Conditions: Keep away from direct sunlight and moisture; seal containers tightly after use
